TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Tempe police and federal drug enforcement agents are giving the public a chance to properly dispose of expired or unwanted prescription drugs in their homes.
The goal of a drug disposal event being held Saturday at a Tempe police substation is to combat drug abuse.
Authorities say the majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including from the home medicine cabinet.
