PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say a man has died of wounds he suffered on his 30th birthday after gunfire broke out following a fight.
Police didn’t immediately release the name of the victim who was shot about 11:30 p.m. Monday in the city’s Kensington section. Police say he was taken to a hospital and died a short time later.
Police say the victim was shot in the head while standing outside with his girlfriend. The shooting apparently resulted from an argument earlier in the day, when the victim was celebrating his birthday.
Police aren’t saying whether they have a suspect, but they did not immediately make an arrest.
Surveillance cameras may have captured the shooting.
