PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - One man has been convicted and another acquitted of murder in a 2014 shooting in Providence that prosecutors say was gang-related.
Attorney General Peter Kilmartin’s office says 27-year-old Bruce Moten, of Providence, was found guilty by a jury on Tuesday of murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and multiple other charges in the October 22, 2014, shooting that left Terry Robinson dead and Delacey Andrade injured.
Another man, 26-year-old Antonio Fortes, of Cranston, was found not guilty. He is still in custody on federal gun and drug charges.
Two other men previously pleaded guilty to their roles in the killing and are awaiting sentencing.
