3-year-old child killed in lawnmower accident in upstate NY

WEBSTER, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 3-year-old child has been killed in a lawnmower accident in upstate New York.

The Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester reports (https://on.rocne.ws/2djI6Df ) that the accident happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Webster in northwestern New York.

Police Lt. Dennis Kohlmeier says the child was run over by a riding lawnmower being driven by a family member.

Details including the child’s name weren’t immediately released.
