Bones found at serial killer’s former home not likely human

ASBURY PARK, N.J. (AP) - Investigators do not believe bones found at the former New Jersey home of a serial killer are human.

A contractor making renovations to a porch at the Asbury Park home where Richard Biegenwald once lived found the bones on Wednesday.

Biegenwald was convicted in the 1980s of killing six people over 25 years. He died in prison at age 67 in 2008.

Resident Timothy Smith tells the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/2dLKzdh ) the house was divided into several apartments three years ago.

The Monmouth County prosecutor’s office says it doesn’t believe the bones are human remains.
