JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a woman managed to flee from her attacker after being shot at home in Jackson.

Jackson Police Commander Tyree Jones tells WLBT-TV (https://bit.ly/2d6gcdG) that the unidentified woman was shot once in the arm during a disturbance at the residence on Saturday.

Police say the woman then escaped to her home after being shot and called police. The victim is in stable condition.



Officials say another woman was taken into custody for questioning. There was no word of an arrest as of late Sunday night.
