The election of Donald Trump came as a shock to many, the Washington Redskins included, and many players shared their thoughts on social media.
DeAngelo Hall, sidelined with an ACL tear since Week 3, has always been outspoken, and he waded into the election on Twitter.
Hall tweeted that he didn’t vote for Trump but respects him enough as a person to give him the benefit of the doubt.
I actually like @realDonaldTrump the biz man. I guess we have 4 years to see what Donald the politician has to offer. Congrats Donald

Man, what a layup! that was.
Linebacker Will Compton had expressed his views against Hillary Clinton. And that caused a response from his fellow defensive lineman Chris Baker.
With all due respect, the idea of Hillary ain’t worth a velvet painting of a whale and a dolphin getting it on#TrumpBobby16

I guess @_willcompton gonna build a wall between our lockers

Athletes from everywhere shared reactions Tuesday and Wednesday, including Philadelphia 76er Joel Embiid, who playfully compared his current situation in Philadelphia, where the slogan “trust the process” has taken form for his team in the midst of a rebuild, to America.
Well America is tanking!!! All we can do is Trust The Process…

Often outspoken and always conservative former pitcher Curt Schilling took a jab at Hillary Clinton.
On the plus side @HillaryClinton won’t ask for a recount for fear of being caught cheating while she lost

San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who essentially created the national anthem protest movement by taking a knee to bring awareness to racial injustice, didn’t actually tweet his thoughts. He did, however, retweet a tweet that shows the overwhelming difference between white and black voters in America.
