NEW YORK (AP) - The W train has returned to New York City’s subway system after a six-year hiatus.
The W is running between Astoria, Queens, and lower Manhattan starting Monday.
The W replaces the Q line in Queens. The Q is being rerouted along the soon-to-open Second Avenue subway line.
The W will only run from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays.
The W train was suspended in 2010 as a cost-cutting measure.
