HAMBURG, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a 73-year-old man has died after he was hit by a runaway vehicle at a boat launch at a western New York park.
Police in the Erie County town of Hamburg say the man and his friend were loading personal watercraft onto a trailer at the Lake Erie launch in the town-owned park Tuesday night when their unattended vehicle began to roll and hit the 73-year-old.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police say their investigation into the accident is continuing.
