President-elect Donald Trump’s family wound up on the receiving end of an expletive-laced exchange while exiting a Manhattan steakhouse this week, the New York Post reported Saturday.
Eric Trump and his wife, Lara Yunaska, were heckled by around eight teens Thursday evening as they left Quality Italian on W. 57th Street and attempted to cross Sixth Avenue, the Post reported.
“Eric,” the group of teens reportedly yelled. “[Expletive] your father!”
The future first-son turned to face the hecklers, the Post reported, but quickly moved on.
The exchange happened around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, according to the newspaper – less than 48 hours after Republican candidate Donald Trump was determined to have defeated Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton in their race to the White House.
Chants of “[Expletive] Donald Trump” were audible outside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. late Tuesday as news trickled in of the GOP candidate’s win, and demonstrators have protested his election in the days since in cities across the country.
Erik Trump, 32, is the president-elect’s third of five children. Along with older siblings Ivanka and Donald Jr., on Friday he was named as a member of the presidential transition team that will help his dad select cabinet members ahead of taking the oath of office in January. Those three are also expected to take control over the portfolio of businesses held by their family’s Trump Organization following their father’s inauguration.
