President-elect Donald Trump, who throughout the campaign often touted the TV ratings of debates in which he appeared, may have another feather to put in his Make America Great Again hat. It seems his election-night victory over Hillary Clinton was a ratings boon with British TV networks.

“BBC One, the flagship network of the U.K. public broadcaster, attracted a Tuesday night audience for its coverage that was almost twice as big as that for Barack Obama’s re-election in 2012,” The Hollywood Reporter said on Thursday.

Of course, “[t]he first set of audience data reported focused on early ratings until 2 a.m. London time on Wednesday, meaning that early morning ratings for when the final result was announced weren’t immediately included,” THR noted.

For its election special, rival network ITV, saw an average of 530,000 viewers and peak viewership of 1.2 million. That’s a dramatic increase from the reported 2012 audience averaging 197,000 viewers that peaked at 368,000, according to THR.
