LOMETA, Texas (AP) - Authorities say a 7-year-old girl has died after falling off a flatbed trailer and being run over while trick-or-treating in Central Texas.
The Lampasas (lam-PA’-sis) County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened Halloween night in Lometa (loh-MEE’-tuh). Officials say Rubi Isabel Davila of San Saba died later Monday night at a hospital.
Lometa police Chief Bob Montgomery says the girl fell and was run over as a vehicle pulling the trailer, which was hauling more than a dozen people, made a left turn.

Officials say the victim and her family were visiting relatives in Lometa, about 75 miles northwest of Austin, when the accident happened.
