YUCCA, Ariz. (AP) - Mohave County authorities say a Yucca man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that critically wounded his wife and left his brother-in-law dead.
County sheriff’s deputies reported finding two victims with gunshot wounds Sunday night at a home in Yucca.
Deputies had responded hours earlier to a domestic violence assault report at the same residence.
They received a second 911 call about 9 p.m. and found the victims.
Sheriff’s officials say 59-year-old Douglas Wayne Gleason is jailed on suspicion of second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
They say 57-year-old Merri Gay Blackwell remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Blackwell’s 65-year-old brother, David Bruce Winebrenner, was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.
Authorities say autopsy results are pending and the case remains under investigation.
