While Thanksgiving this year will see the usual mass-gorging of turkey and all the fixings, the folks at Netflix are hoping fans of a popular CW dramedy binge on nostalgia the following day.

The four-part “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” will be released on the streaming-video service on Black Friday, November 25, Fox News reported Wednesday.

“The news was announced at the Television Critics Association Press Tour Wednesday,” Fox News noted. “The highly anticipated reboot of ’Gilmore Girls’ will come in the form of four 90 minute installments, titled ’Winter,’ ’Spring,’ ’Summer’ and ’Fall.’”

“[It is] extremely comforting in a world that is lacking comfort … It’s so smart and so well written,” said Lauren Graham, who reprises her role as Lorelai Gilmore.

For her part, show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino chalks up the enduring fan base to how it portrays loving family relationship “in a non-preachy way.”

Earlier this year, Netflix ventured into resurrecting beloved TV series with the release of “Fuller House,” a spinoff of sorts from the 1990s ABC hit “Full House.”

On July 21, PopSugar.com reported the Candace Cameron Bure vehicle has been renewed for a second season.
