ASHBURN — For just the second time all season, the Washington Redskins had full attendance at practice on Wednesday ahead of Sunday’s wild-card round game against the Green Bay Packers.
Redskins free safety Dashon Goldson and running back Matt Jones, both inactive last week against the Dallas Cowboys, were limited. Goldson has a broken rib and a shoulder injury. Jones has been inactive the last two games because of a hip pointer.
Defensive end Jason Hatcher, who usually takes Wednesdays off, was also limited with neck and knee injuries. Inside linebacker Perry Riley was also limited in his first practice since having surgery on a broken bone in his right foot a month ago. Cornerback Quinton Dunbar, who missed last week’s game with a quad injury, was limited.
Reserve cornerback Dashaun Phillips was a full participant on Wednesday after being carted off the field with a neck injury in the game against the Cowboys. Left tackle Trent Williams (knee), wide receiver DeSean Jackson, running back Chris Thompson (toe) and strong safety Jeron Johnson (chest) were full participants.
Coach Jay Gruden said he was unsure if there will be any long-term effects for free safety Kyshoen Jarrett, who was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday with a neck injury that could possibly be affecting the nerves in his right arm.
“We’re optimistic, but we don’t know,” Gruden said. “We’re just going to have to keep treating him and get him tested to make sure we get him back. We don’t know as far as long-term prognosis.”
