From the fevered mind of Texas Is the Reason frontman Garrett Klahn comes this self-titled solo debut dripping with somber tones and deep insights. “Are We Alright” and “I Don’t Care at All” are upbeat numbers, while “Motion for Action” is a downbeat piece of sincere introspection. “Friday Nights 1969” and “Silver Wings” put a twisty sound on the previously easygoing record before switching gears again for the lovely “Ravenna.”
