2 shot to death at home in Collinsville

COLLINSVILLE, Miss. (AP) - The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a double homicide at a home in Collinsville.

Coroner Clayton Cobler tells The Meridian Star (https://bit.ly/2haQHxH ) two men, both in their 20s, were shot at the residence, one was found dead at the scene and the other died at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Cobler says the victims’ names have not been released.

The sheriff’s department was called to the scene around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says the homicides are the fourth and fifth in Lauderdale County since Sunday and the sixth in 15 days.
