WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A crackdown on sober home corruption in Palm Beach County has resulted in another half dozen arrests.
The Palm Beach Post (https://pbpo.st/2hWySmB ) reported that one of the six people named in a federal complaint Wednesday is a sober home operator accused of prostitution and fraud.
Kenny Chatman was ordered held without bail.
The newspaper reports Wednesday’s arrests come from the first charges to be filed from a federal probe into sober homes and substance-abuse treatment facilities in Palm Beach County.
Federal prosecutors say Chatman forced female residents at sober homes he had opened into prostitution promising they wouldn’t have to pay rent or take part in treatment provided he could bill their insurance companies for those services.
