BOSCAWEN, N.H. (AP) - Officials say an inmate at Merrimack County Jail was found dead in his cell.
The body of 53-year-old Roger Ward, of Henniker, was found Tuesday during a routine welfare check. Jail officials say an investigation into the cause of death is underway.
Ward was being held on $260,000 cash bail on charges alleging he sexually assaulted two girls. He pleaded not guilty in September.
