ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A New York television production company must pay $400,000 in overtime pay to hundreds of workers under an agreement with the state attorney general’s office.
Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced Monday that True Entertainment LLC has agreed to the terms.
Schneiderman says the company had failed to pay production assistants and associate producers for hours worked over 40 hours as required by law. He says it also failed to keep accurate records of the workers’ hours who frequently worked between 50 and 72 hours.
The company has produced such reality television shows as “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
A person who answered a telephone call at True Entertainment declined to comment.
