Police: Woman is found dead in her Salt Lake City home

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a woman has been found dead in her Salt Lake City home and she likely was the victim of a homicide.

Officers went to the house Saturday afternoon after getting a call requesting a welfare check.

When police arrived, they found the woman dead.

Police say another woman identified as a person of interest is in custody.

Details about the relationship between the two women haven’t been disclosed yet by police.

But police say the women knew each other.

Police also have declined to release the manner of death yet.
