BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Idaho State Police have agreed to pay an Arizona man $40,000 to settle a federal lawsuit following a traffic stop near Boise recorded by the patrol car’s dashboard camera.

The Idaho Statesman reports (https://bit.ly/2gWxe2X) in a story on Friday that the agreement between Jose Castillo and police follows a Dec. 6 settlement conference.

Authorities say trooper Justin Klitch pulled over Castillo on May 16, 2014, for failing to move into the left lane while passing a stopped emergency vehicle.

Castillo in the lawsuit says he told Klitch that he was sensitive to any lack of cleanliness, and that Klitch told Castillo that Klitch’s doctor told him he’d never met anyone with more germs.

A federal judge dismissed Castillo’s claims involving the Americans With Disabilities Act but allowed a civil rights claim to go to trial.
