This week, a new front was opened in the War for the Free World. That’s the long-running conflict between freedom-loving people and those who would enslave us.
In our time, Islamic supremacists are targeting the non-Muslim world. And the most influential organization within that global jihadist movement is the Muslim Brotherhood.
On Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida introduced companion bills in the Senate and House calling for the Muslim Brotherhood to be designated here – as it is in a number of other countries – as a terrorist organization.
If so designated, we could at last begin to shut down and roll up the vast array of front groups and infrastructure that Muslim Brotherhood has established over the past 50 years. The object, in their words, is to wage “civilization jihad” to “destroy Western civilization from within.”
We can’t let them succeed.
