A Welsh mom said she was shocked and outraged after hearing her daughter’s talking Barbie doll drop an expletive that begins with the letter “f.”

Talina Evans, 25, of North Wales, told British tabloid The Daily Mirror said she bought the Mattel doll at a nearby Home Bargains store. The doll was supposed to say such phrases as “I love a makeover,” and “to the salon,” but strayed a bit from what was advertised.

Specifically, the Barbie uttered “what the [expletive],” The Mirror reported. And Miss Evans said she quickly took it from her daughter.

“We hadn’t really paid that much attention to it or what it was saying,” Miss Evans said. “We’ve taken it off her now. We just told her that the doll had been bad and was swearing so it had to go. She was disappointed, of course, but she understood that it is wrong to swear and so the doll had to go.”

A Mattel official said the company is investigating.
