I like the way it looks, I like the way it drives. Indeed, the 2015 Audi S5 Cabriolet is a sexy little car just looking for some action. The seats will hug you as you go for a ride, and while the backseat is small, the driver and passenger seat design couldn’t be better.

The 2015 Audi S5 is based on the A5 and A4 sedan, and the S5 I drove with its convertible top couldn’t have been more fun to drive with sleek styling and clean lines making it not only notable behind the wheel, but a real looker too.

The real competition here for this Audi is the BMW 435i, both are sexy cars and most people prefer one or the other, more for name recognition than anything else.

I drove the 2015 Audi S5 Cabriolet 3.0T Quattro S tronic and under the hood it was a V6 engine with 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Add in the quattro permanent all-wheel-drive with seven-speed S tronic transmission and electromechanical speed-sensitive power steering, you have an impressive machine with a set of wheels.

The goodies included on this S5 were diverse like the 18-inch five-parallel-spoke S design wheels with 245/40 summer tires and a tire pressure monitoring system. Other conveniences include electronic stability control, xenon headlights with LED, heated and power adjustable front seats with lumbar adjustment, leather package, split folding rear seat, three-zone automatic climate control and for tech lovers you get Audi music interface with iPod cable, the Audi sound system, SIRIUS satellite radio, Bluetooth and the steering wheel is a flat-bottom and leather wrapped with shift paddles.

There are various packages to choose from for additions. On the Audi I drove, which was a Daytona gray pearl with a black roof, I also had aluminum black wood inlays and the 19-inch wheel package with seven-double-spoke design wheels. Adding the technology package for an extra $2,900, there was also a CD/DVD player with HD radio, an Audi MMI Navigation plus with voice control, a parking system with a rearview camera and the Audi connect and Audi roadside assist.

For safety, this 2015 Audi S5 comes with driver adaptive frontal and front passenger advanced two-stage frontal airbags with a restraint system as well as driver and front passenger seat-mounted head and thorax side, knee airbags and a body shell with energy absorbing zones. Also notice the three-point safety belts and lower anchor and tethers for children and an anti-theft alarm system and ignition immobilizer.

One area of standout on this Audi is the warranty and maintenance agreement, which is a four-year/50,000-mile new vehicle warranty, as well as a 12-year limited warranty against corrosion and a one-year/5,000-mile first scheduled maintenance service free. You can also opt for the four-year roadside assistance coverage as well.

Driving this impressive little Audi, I was wowed with the handling. You definitely own the road and you can feel yourself diving into every turn and curve with the greatest of ease.

The convertible top is also a no-brainer since it’s up and down in just a few seconds, making this Audi Cabriolet the perfect road-trip car — and offering class and comfort that not only looks good, but feels just as good too.

Should You Need to Know: Note here, the 2015 Audi S5’s backseat is small and adults won’t fit. Children might even be uncomfortable too and it’s not easy to get back there either.

Miles Per Gallon: The 2015 Audi S5 Cabriolet 3.0T Quattro S tronic I drove had 21 mpg combined with 18 miles in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

Cost: The 2015 Audi S5 Cabriolet 3.0T Quattro S tronic price tag I drove was $68,025.
