JENKINS, Ky. (AP) - An eastern Kentucky child has died in a bicycle accident.
The Letcher County Coroner told WYMT-TV (https://bit.ly/1j6vVVk) that the 8-year-old boy died Wednesday night after the accident occurred in Jenkins.
Officers say the accident happened on a street, but no other details were immediately available.
The child, whose name hasn’t been released, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police told the station that it’s unclear whether the boy was wearing a helmet.
