The latest campaign finance filings confirmed that all three national Democratic fundraising organizations are ahead of their Republican counterparts after a profitable month in April.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee reported receipts of over $6.3 million with almost $25 million cash on hand while the National Republican Senatorial Committee came in a close second with just over $6 million in receipts and $19.3 million stocked in the bank. Both committees are debt-free.

Several notable donors contributed to each party. On the Democratic side, Bill Gates contributed $15,000 so far this cycle, While Donald Trump, and Anna, David, and Elizabeth Koch contributed $32,400, each, to the NRSC. Race car driver Mario Andretti chipped in, donating $1,000 to the Republican committee.

Last week Democrats announced their two other national fundraising committees had outraised their Republican counterparts. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced Wednesday that it raised $3 million more than House Republicans, and on Tuesday, the Democratic National Committee revealed it had raised over $9 million and paid off its $7 million in bank debt.
