MOSS POINT, Miss. (AP) - Moss Point Police Chief Keith Davis shared the preliminary results of an autopsy on seventh grade student Lorel Malone with his family, but he said that information is not yet being released to the public.

Davis tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1duOuXr ) that the report won’t be available for several months

The 12-year-old Malone was involved in a fight on March 6 at Magnolia Middle School and died the followed morning.

A Moss Point school district spokesman said the fight involving Malone was with another seventh-grader, but the district did not name the other student.

Jackson County Youth Court is investigating the incident, but details are not available because the case involves juveniles.
