BALLWIN, Mo. (AP) - Elected leaders in the St. Louis suburb of Ballwin want no part of a possible unification of St. Louis city and county governments.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (bit.ly/OVnBAq ) reports that the Ballwin Board of Aldermen approved a resolution Monday opposing a possible local government merger. The vote was 6-0.
The resolution says that the pro-merger group Better Together has shown no clear evidence that a merger would benefit the region as a whole.
