SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Brendon Boomsma made two free throws with 12 seconds left to play to lift Tri-Valley over Sioux Valley 54-53 in the fifth-place game at the South Dakota Class A boys basketball tournament on Saturday.

Boomsma finished with 22 points. He Je made 5 of 11 field goals and 8 of 11 free throws for the Mustangs (14-12). Boomsma was the only double-figure scorer for Tri-Valley

Sioux Valley (20-5) had taken a 53-52 lead on Tayt Vincent’s three-point play with 16 seconds left. Vincent was held to just seven points.
