MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - In a story March 2 about an upcoming seminar for new turkey hunters, The Associated Press erroneously reported the date of the event. The seminar will be held April 13, not April 23.

Vt. holds seminar for 1st-time turkey hunters in April

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - First-time turkey hunters will get a chance to learn the basics at a free seminar being held in Vermont this spring.

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department staff and two volunteer instructors will hold the seminar on April 13 in Northfield.

The instructors will cover basic turkey hunting topics, including hunting regulations, choosing a location for your hunting blind, using turkey calls, placing decoys and dressing and cooking a turkey.

The seminar, which is limited to 40 participants, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mountain Deer Taxidermy.
