MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - First-time turkey hunters will get a chance to learn the basics at a free seminar being held in Vermont this spring.
The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department staff and two volunteer instructors will hold the seminar on April 13 in Northfield.
The instructors will cover basic turkey hunting topics, including hunting regulations, choosing a location for your hunting blind, using turkey calls, placing decoys and dressing and cooking a turkey.
The seminar, which is limited to 40 participants, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mountain Deer Taxidermy.
