GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - Alex Sausville scored 26 points, including a tournament record eight 3-pointers, to lead Scotia-Glenville past East 66-44 in the Class A final Sunday at the New York State Boys High School Basketball Championships.
Tournament MVP Joe Cremo added 23 points and seven rebounds for the Tartans (25-0), who were leading 43-42 in the closing seconds of the third quarter before outscoring East 23-2 the rest of the way.
Dontay Caruthers scored 14 points and Zion Morrison added nine for the Orientals (19-5).

The Tartans finished 47 percent from the field, while East shot 34 percent.
First-time finalist Scotia-Glenville, from Schenectady County in Section 2, got to the championship with an 81-50 win over John Glenn in Saturday’s semifinals.
First-time finalist East, out of Monroe County in Section 5, reached the title by beating Red Hook 57-45 in the semis.
