ROCKY GAP, Va. (AP) - Environmental officials now say more than 2,000 fish died in a stream in southwest Virginia.

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality trace the fish kill in a Bland County stream to runoff from chlorinated water and foam that were used to snuff a vehicle fire earlier this week along Interstate 77.

The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports that (https://bit.ly/1gpuJzr ) fishermen reported the toll on fish.

The state Department of Game and Inland Fisheries plans to restock the stream with trout.
