The three teens were classmates at Aldo Leopold Charter School.
School officials say the students were on board the single-engine plane that went down about a mile northeast of Whiskey Creek Airport before bursting into flames.
Authorities say a fourth person who died was the plane’s pilot.
Brian Myers, 16-year-old Ella Myers’ dad, previously said the trio had gone to look at the Signal Fire, which started in the Gila National Forest on May 11.
