ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Zia Zia Zia led all the way in winning the $60,000 Big Dipper Purse for older fillies and mares by a length at Santa Anita on Friday.
Ridden by Tyler Baze, Zia Zia Zia ran 6½ furlongs on the hillside turf in 1:12.31 and paid $41.40, $17 and $8.80 at 19-1 odds.
Premier Steps returned $7.60 and $5.20, while Remise was another nose back in third and paid $4.40 to show.
Ultrasonic, the 5-2 favorite, was sixth.
The victory, worth $36,000, increased Zia Zia Zia’s career earnings to $134,884, with three wins in nine starts.
