GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A 24-year-old man from the Baton Rouge area has been sentenced to prison for six months for producing and trafficking counterfeit credit cards.
The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1fbxzF5 ) Patrick Henry Thomas and his co-defendant were arrested by Waveland police in December 2012 after Walmart reported two men were using multiple credit cards for inexpensive purchases to get larger amounts of cash.
U.S. District Judge Sul Ozerden sentenced Thomas on Monday, ordering him to make restitution of $1,863. Once out of prison, Thomas will be on post-release supervision three years and must serve the first six months confined to his home.
Larry Don Norwood Jr., also 24, is serving a 16-month prison term.
