FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) - A 26-year-old St. Louis County man faces weapons charges after his unsuccessful robbery attempt was laughed off by a clerk who thought the holdup was a joke.

KMOV-TV (bit.ly/MpsDod ) reports that Robert Baker Jr. of Ferguson was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful procession of a firearm after police say he tried to rob a Dollar General store.

Baker was arrested at a McDonalds across the street from the dollar store. Police say they found a gun his pocket.

He remains in police custody on a $15,000 bond. Online court records do not list an attorney on his behalf.
