HOPE, Ark. (AP) - A 50-year-old Hope man is charged with battery for allegedly spitting in the face of a police officer during a traffic stop.
Police say Printis Weston was pulled over on Monday night and arrested for driving while intoxicated and other charges, including driving without insurance.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Weston was charged with second-degree battery when he deliberately spat in the face of one of the two arresting officers.

Weston is being held in the Hempstead County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
