HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Marshall will play six home games in the 2014 football season, including four in Conference USA.
Marshall released the schedule Monday.
The Thundering Herd open the season Aug. 30 at Miami (Ohio), followed by the home opener Sept. 6 with Football Championship Subdivision member Rhode Island.
Marshall has other nonconference games at home Sept. 13 against Ohio and at Akron on Sept. 20.
Other home games include Oct. 11 against Middle Tennessee, Oct. 25 against Florida Atlantic, Nov. 15 against Rice and Nov. 28 against conference newcomer Western Kentucky.
The Thundering Herd’s other road games are Oct. 4 at Old Dominion, Oct. 18 at Florida International, Nov. 8 at Southern Miss and Nov. 22 at Alabama-Birmingham.
Marshall went 10-4 in 2013, including a Military Bowl win over Maryland.
