SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut officials say Interstate 84 eastbound is closed in Southington because of a tractor-trailer accident.

The Department of Transportation says the wreck was reported at 6 a.m. Thursday and it’s not clear when the highway will reopen. All eastbound lanes are closed between exits 31 and 32.

Traffic cameras show the tractor-trailer flipped over on its side. It’s not clear what caused the accident.

State officials are advising motorists to seek alternate routes.
