LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan Lt. Gov. Brian Calley has led state officials in taking a cold plunge for the sake of Special Olympics.
Calley was the first to jump into a pool of water outside the Michigan Capitol on Thursday on a day of single-digit temperatures.
MLive.com (https://bit.ly/1dGxxn7 ) reports that organizers say participants raised at least $30,000 for Special Olympics Michigan, which hosts year-round sporting events for athletes with disabilities.
