NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a man was fatally shot as he left a Newark nightclub.
Essex County prosecutors say 23-year-old Derrick Sessons was shot “multiple times” around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. He died a short time later at a hospital.
A motive for the shooting at the Washington Street club remains under investigation. But prosecutors say it appears to have been an isolated incident and wasn’t a random act.
