TULSA, Okla. (AP) - University of Tulsa pitcher Aimee Creger has been named the USA Softball Collegiate National Player of the Week.
Creger was named winner of the award after going 3-0 last week with a 1.11 ERA and 40 strikeouts at the Aggie Classic. Creger earned wins over No. 8 Texas A&M and two wins over Oregon State as Tulsa went 5-0 to sweep the event in College Station, Texas.
Creger is the first Tulsa softball player to be awarded the USA Softball weekly national honor since Jackie Lawrence in April 2007.
