OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - The Ocean Springs water system has received another perfect ranking from the Mississippi State Department of Health.

This is the 11th year in a row for the city to get top marks.

Public Works Director Andre’ Kaufman tells the Mississippi Press (https://bit.ly/1hqrlXA ) that Ocean Springs is one of the few systems in the state to get perfect marks for so many years.

Water systems are ranked on three areas: technical capacity, which includes water quality; managerial capacity, which reviews how the system is operated; and financial capacity, which includes clear plans for what happens when customers fail to pay their bills and their service is cut off.

Ocean Springs scored a perfect 5 points in each area.
