RENO, Nev. (AP) - Police investing the theft of several decorative brass vases from a Reno cemetery have arrested a man accused of trying to sell them for scrap.
Police say 49-year-old David Frayer of Reno has been charged with possession of stolen property after he allegedly tried to sell the cut-up brass pieces on Jan. 16 at a metal recycling yard just east of downtown.
Lt. William Rulla says six vases valued at about $200 each were stolen from northwest Reno’s Mountain View Cemetery, where they were used as flower holders at burial markers.
