AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Rookie of the year candidate Michael Carter-Williams will miss Philadelphia’s game Saturday night at Detroit with right shoulder soreness.
Carter-Williams scored 17 points in Friday’s loss to Atlanta, but he was scratched before the 76ers took the court to face the Pistons. Carter-Williams is averaging 17.2 points per game. The 6-foot-6 point guard missed a handful of games earlier this season because of a skin infection that caused soreness in his right knee.
Tony Wroten was added to Philadelphia’s starting lineup in place of Carter-Williams. Wroten is averaging 12.4 points per game in his second NBA season.
