The Washington Nationals on Tuesday placed Wilson Ramos on the paternity list and recalled catcher Sandy Leon from Triple-A Syracuse.
Ramos’ wife, Yely, is expecting the couple’s first child. He can stay on the paternity list for three days.
Leon, 25, is with the Nationals for the third time this season. He hit .169 with a homer in 18 games his previous times up.
For Syracuse, he’s batting .212 with two homers in 34 games.
