TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - A Wren man was fatally injured in a single-car weekend accident in Monroe County.
The Monroe County Coroner identified the victim of the Saturday evening crash as 57-year-old James E. Thompson. The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1ioQ2Q7 ) Thompson lost control of his Chevy pickup truck and ran off a roadway, striking several trees.
Thompson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. He died at the North Mississippi Medical Center on Sunday morning.
