HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) - The Washington County sheriff’s office says it will no longer hold people for possible deportation.

The sheriff’s office says it has re-evaluated its policy of holding inmates for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/1GeujW ) the decision follows a federal judge’s ruling that Clackamas County violated a woman’s constitutional rights by holding her for immigration authorities without probable cause.
