TROY, N.Y. (AP) - Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old pregnant woman found in a fire-ravaged Troy apartment building as a double homicide.
Local media report that Vanessa Milligan was found dead after a fire in her apartment on April 4, a week before her due date.
Police on Friday say they believe the fire was intentionally set and that the case is being investigated as a double homicide. Because the baby was full term, state law allows for a double homicide charge.
